Whetstone + Raintree Partnership: Upgrade Your Access

We're excited to partner with Raintree Athletic Club and Alive, by Raintree. We're two local businesses who think our members deserve more ways to move, together.

Whetstone members can add access to Raintree Athletic Club and Alive by Raintree. Raintree members can add access to Whetstone.

Whetstone is still Whetstone: world-class climbing, same team. Raintree is still Raintree: the best health club experience in the region. We're just opening more doors for our communities.

How Membership Upgrades work

1. Pick your upgrade

Two options, depending on where you want to train.

Silver: Alive access

Gold: Raintree Athletic Club and Alive access

2. Find your price

Add the upgrade to your current Whetstone membership. That's your new monthly total.

Student, Senior Individual: Silver +$30 | Gold +$50

Individual, Senior Couple: Silver +$35 | Gold +$55

Individual + Child, Couple, Family (3): Silver +$40 | Gold +$60

Family of 4 or more: add $55 per additional person.

3. Upgrade at Whetstone

Upgrade at our front desk or through your Account Portal.

4. Start training!

Your Whetstone access stays exactly the same. Your new access starts as soon as your upgrade goes through.

Child/Youth Policies for Raintree Athletic Club & Alive

Children under the age of 10 may use the basketball court, racquetball court, climbing wall, pool, and track when being directly supervised by a member over the age of 18

Once a child turns 10 years of age, they need to be added to the membership in order for him/her to use the or pay for a youth guest pass at the front desk on each visit

Children ages 10-14 can use all of the club facilities when directly supervised by a member over the age of 18

Children ages 12-14 can use all of the club facilities unsupervised with a parent on-premise if they have completed the Youth Responsibility Training Class (online)

Children ages 15-22 may use all club facilities without a parent

Children 22 years and under are allowed to be a family membership

F.A.Q.

Do I have to upgrade?: Nope. Your Whetstone membership stays exactly as is if you don't add anything. Upgrades are optional.
What happens to my Whetstone membership if I upgrade?: Nothing changes. Your climbing access, rate, and everything else about your Whetstone membership stays the same. You're only adding facilities on top of it.
Are Whetstone and Raintree merging?: No. Both businesses remain independently owned and operated. Whetstone is still Whetstone, world-class climbing, same team. Raintree is still Raintree, the best health club experience in the region. This partnership exists to give members more, not to change who runs either place.
When can I actually upgrade?: Anytime! Whetstone members purchase their upgrade at Whetstone, not at RAC or Alive.
Can I switch tiers later?: Yes, just reach out via your Account Portal or ask the Front Desk
What if I only want Alive, not RAC?: That's Silver. Gold gets you both Alive and Raintree Athletic Club.
Do I need to sign anything or fill out paperwork at RAC or Alive?: Yes, you'll need to fill out a facility waiver.
Can I freeze just the Upgrade?: No. The upgrade can only be active or cancelled. If you cancel, any earlier upgrade rate ends, and new upgrades are at current pricing.
Is there a punch-pass or day-pass rate for members who want to try RAC/Alive without committing to a monthly upgrade, outside of the August open house window?: Not at this time. Upgrades are available to Auto-Pay Monthly and Annual Prepaid members. Day passes and punch passes aren't eligible.
