What's with the name "Whetstone"?

Our name embodies our vision which is to share the wealth of the climbing experience. We do this by facilitating, encouraging and sharpening climbing skills. Fittingly, the definition of “whetstone” is a stone used to sharpen tools. There are a number of other reasons for the name, “stone” being an obvious synergy and Whetstone Mountain, a high peak outside Crested Butte, CO (a favorite mountain town of the founders’), being another.
