USAC Collegiate Bouldering Qualifying Event

We're honored to have been selected to host the USA Climbing Rocky Mountain Region Collegiate Bouldering Qualifier.

Athletes from across the mountain west will battle it out here at Whetstone for a chance to compete at Nationals.

Competition Details

Preparation Timeline & Details

  • We are going to start stripping boulders on January 7th.
  • As the competition boulders get set, they will remain off-limits to the public until the competition is over.
  • All Whetstone members can enjoy a day of free climbing at any of the CLIMB Pass gyms while we prepare and host the competition. Just show your scan card at their front desk when you arrive.
  • The competition will be open to the public and everyone is welcome to come watch the action.
  • Coaches and immediate family members of athletes taking part in the Regional Championships will not be permitted in the facility as soon as setting begins.
  • No information about the setting can be shared at any time with participants or any person associated with participants of the event.
  • The gym will be closed to the general public until 5:00pm on Saturday, January 11th.
  • As the competition host, Whetstone is not in control of the athlete sign ups, cancellations, or refund process. If needed, please email events@usaclimbing.com.

Competition Schedule

The gym will be closed for climbing from 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM while we host a USAC Youth Bouldering Regional Championship event. We will be open to the public during the Collegiate event.

  • 4:00 PM: Competitor Check-In Opens
  • 5:00 PM: Climbing Starts
  • 8:00 PM: Climbing Ends
