Youth Program Supervisor
The Youth Program Supervisor oversees daily operations, manages coaches, and develops and executes programs. They work closely with the Programs Leadership Team. They ensure quality programming, and are continuously developing innovative curriculum for camps, birthday parties and clubs. This person instills and upholds Whetstone’s values while fostering a positive team environment.
Job Qualifications:
- Passion for rock climbing and youth in particular
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and cooperatively in teams
- Excellent time management skills
- Highly organized and comfortable recording and tracking information and data
- First AID/CPR certified preferred
Position Responsibilities
- Oversee registration and roster management
- Manage scheduling of staff, practices, and special offerings in conjunction with the Youth Program Manager
- Manage billing issues and payments in conjunction with the billing department
- Manage marketing material quality and distribution
- Embody the core values and sets a good example, particularly for the youth program staff
- Manage the development of mid-level and front-line youth program staff
- Manage the replenishment of youth program supplies, uniforms, belay cards, etc.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date information on all current youth program participants and ensure this information is properly recorded and stored in the RGP database
- Administer and manage spring, summer, winter camp registration
- Develop, produce and disseminate appropriate program information in order to promote Youth Programs to the public and to current members
- Follow and refine all policies and procedures related to minimizing risk to youth program participants and others, including those related to managing visitors and guests at our facilities
- Work a minimum of three coaching shifts per week
Hours & Compensation:
- This is a part time position; 10-15 hours per week of coaching and administrative work
- Attend bi-monthly youth program meeting
- The pay range for this position is $16-$18 per hour
