Marketing Manager
The Marketing Manager is responsible for planning and executing strategies that promote the gym, increase memberships, and create engagement with our community. The role requires a hands-on approach to both digital and traditional marketing efforts, including social media management, content creation, event promotion, and member engagement.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in marketing and project management
- Passion for climbing and understanding of the climbing community, culture, and industry
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with an expertise in storytelling and engaging audiences
- Ability to work independently and take initiative, as well as collaborate with a team
- Experience with marketing tools like the Meta Ads Manager and Google Analytics
- Experience with social media, email marketing, and content management systems
- Ability to handle multiple projects at once and stay on top of shifting priorities and deadlines
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing or 2+ years of experience in marketing industry
- Ability to perform data analysis with tools like Microsoft Excel
- Bonus points for graphic design skills and experience with tools like Adobe Creative Suite
Responsibilities
- Plan and implement innovative marketing strategies to increase awareness, drive memberships, and retain customers
- Manage social media platforms to engage the climbing community and promote gym offerings
- Manage the marketing budget to optimize how it is spent across various campaigns
- Establish and track key performance indicators, reviewing results and implementing corrective actions as needed
- Manage workflow and deadlines for all marketing objectives
- Collaborate with in-house graphic designer to create engaging content to highlight our offerings and climbing culture
- Monitor trends in the climbing industry and adapt marketing tactics accordingly
- Stay up-to-date on best practices in digital marketing, SEO, and content strategy
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide coaching to enhance the team
Hours & Compensation
- Part time, non-exempt, hourly position - 20-30 hours per week
- $21.00 - $25.00 per hour (commensurate with experience and reference checks)
- Potential for partially remote position for the right candidate
