Introductory Classes

Experience a rich introductory class designed to familiarize you to the world of indoor climbing. Our knowledgeable instructors will guide your experience and provide you an opportunity to explore all aspects of indoor climbing.

During this class you will learn the basics of climbing equipment, safety and etiquette in the gym. You will also learn how to belay for top-rope, go over bouldering grades, and how to fall with proper technique.

This class is designed for bouldering lovers who want to progress through the grades and learn the fundamental techniques and tips. From culture to movement, this class covers it all!

Intermediate

Our three-part Movement Series will improve your climbing technique while introducing you to climbing fundamentals.  With a focus on footwork, balance, efficiency, and technique, you will walk away as a more comprehensive climber. Each session follows a progressive path which is carefully designed to enhance your abilities.

This class is designed for climbers who are ready to get above the bolts. You will learn proper belay technique, clipping stance and fall techniques.

*Participants must demonstrate solid top-rope technique on 5.9 routes, and have passed the top-rope test at Whetstone.

Advanced

This course is designed to build confidence when taking and catching lead falls. Exercises will help climbers and belayers increase awareness of the forces involved in a fall, train the mind and body to be comfortable with falling, and cultivate the belayer’s ability to offer a soft and consistent catch.

This clinic is designed to teach safe and efficient methods on how to clean a sport anchor. Sport climbing can be fun and addicting but, mistakes can be costly. In this class, you will learn how to clean an outdoor sport route by lowering and rappelling off a single pitch climb.

Climbing hundreds of feet off the ground is the dream, but we often can only practice single pitch climbing in the gym. During our multi-pitch transition class we will simulate a longer, multi-pitch route indoors. The class will cover techniques that will enable partners to understand the dynamics and safety considerations when climbing more than one pitch. We will also cover tips and tricks to be efficient at belay transitions, whether swapping leads or following.
